Critical Studies in Sound for Moving Image Tuesday 15/10/2019
This week, we started with the weekly briefing and went over about the brief's sheets and the help sheets to help us go over them and give us a bit help and better understanding for those who may need them and how the project and work for the Critical Studies first brief was going to be like and how we were going to be doing it and how its supposed to be done. For this week's class for Critical Studies, we were going over and discussion about Neo-noir, we will be going over and discussion topics on cities, WWII, Film Noir and noise, how important they were and how they were impactful they were and the effects they have and not just a few but a part of history they are. Looked at important and somewhat known people such as Mark Rothko, we also looked and delved a bit more details into the impact and the shock and devastation's that did happened with WWII and what happened at the start, during and after it. We looked more into the start and involvement of Hitler during WWII and the advances of technologies and especially with within the sound area field, such as the electro-magnetic tape and that they used that to record and play on the radios of and for music, calls and announcement speeches's and news. with this invention, it made a lot of things possible in the future and helped move technology even further with newer inventions from these ones, this also helped give me some what of an idea of how i wanted to piece together my essay as i wanted to use these inventions and Hitler as one of my essay pieces. A major invention to me and for history as well was during the WWII, the Loudspeaker was invented, it was used by Hitler to broadcast things together and after each other, they they didn't just broadcast Hitler's speeches's, they broadcasted speeches's, music, stressful sounds, multiple types of propaganda and other types of influences that were chosen and together with and for Hitler. this caused/given fear, reaction and emotions to the people of Germany has specially designed Loudspeaker trucks would be about Germany playing all of these things.with the power of speeches's and how they did and went about doing them and the differences between this and others and more that i went further on into doing research with.

This class was to go over the true definition of Sound Design and what it actually is and its area of work, this goes through what a Sound Design is and also covers the general area of the work a Sound Designer would do, this shows a useful wide area of knowledge and field of work that can be useful for use to know as for future references.
Studio Lectures Projects 2-3 Friday 18/10/2019
For this class, we went into details on how you us and peoples Sound Designs and Soundscapes can actually be counted as musical scores and pieces, with this, we were shown creative, new and unique ways of music and those music even created from audio effects and Foley. we also went into lots of details about different ways we use effects and plugins to create, mix and mastered music, audio and effects. With looking into this, we went into very useful details of effects and plugins in Pro Tools such as EQ, Filtering and different other Dynamic effects and processing's. going over these helped and it refreshed our memories and introduced these to those who haven't used these plugins and effects.
